  First Revelation, in 1820, at the age of 14.  
  Shown the Gold Plates
by the Angel Moroni
September 22, 1823.
 
     
  Met the Angel Moroni
at the Hill Cumorah.
 
  Received the Gold Plates
from the Angel Moroni
September 22, 1827.
 
  Was persecuted for
two years, hindering
the translation.
 
     
  Received the Aaronic and
Melchizedek Priesthoods
in May, June 1829.
 
  Book of Mormon printed
on March 26, 1830.
 
  Organized the Church of
Jesus Christ April 6, 1830.
 
     
  Commanded to build the
Kirtland ( completed 1836 )
and Nauvoo Temples
( completed 1846 ).
 
  On trial over 30 times
for false charges, but
he was never found
guilty of any crime.
 
  He died a martyr in 1844,
murdered by a mob,
sealing his testimony
