Alright. Enough of this.
Did you always remain loyal
to the Church and a friend
of Joseph Smith ?

I was very active in the Church and
held a high office until the year 1838.

You ‛re avoiding my question !
Please remember you are under
oath. What happened in 1838 ?

There was a lot of confusion as
a result of tremendous persecution in Missouri.

Significant Events in the History of the Church, 1836-1838

  1. Church members who had
settled in Clay County were
persecuted, not allowed to vote,
and their very lives were threatened. They had no choice but
to leave.

  2. The Saints settle Far West, Missouri. Within two years they are
ordered to leave Missouri under
threat of extermination by Governor
Boggs.

  That happened
in America ?

  I never learned
about that in
school.

  I can ‛t believe a
Governor sanctioned
killing.
