In the year 1848, I asked for and received forgiveness, was rebaptized, and rejoined the Church. I continued to testify until my dying day that I did see and handle the Gold Plates and that Joseph Smith spoke the Truth.  
     
  That will be all, Mr. Cowdery. You may step down.  
     
  I hope I haven ‛t upset you. Maybe there is a doctor in the audience.

  That guy, Cowdery, was a tough one ! I still could not get a confession out of him even though he was excommunicated.
