History shows us that during the 50 to 100 years
following Christ ‛s Resurrection, the Church fell into
confusion and disorder. The members rejected the
words and leadership of the living Apostles and Prophets and corrupted the pure doctrines of the past
Prophets. Because of the wickedness of the members
and the local leaders, the Lord withdrew His Spirit
and did not call any new Prophets and Apostles after
the martyrdom of the existing ones.

This falling away from the Truth and corruption of God ‛s true Church is known as the Apostasy. Because of the Apostasy there were no authorized Living Prophets or Apostles to correct false doctrine and direct Christ ‛s Church according to Revelation (direction) from God. The people were influenced by Greek philosophers and others, resulting in the creation of new doctrines based on their own ideas, methods, and interpretations of Gospel Truth.
