We don ‛t need Living Prophets, we just need lots of ministers getting paid for preaching in many different churches to accomodate everyone ‛s desire and comfort level.

2 Nephi 26:29

. . . priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light
unto the world, that they may get gain and praise of the world . . . .

Every Dead Prophet was alive at one time, and
their peers and neighbors persecuted a majority
of them. Almost all ancient Prophets experienced
great difficulty leading those who lived
in their time. This continues today.
