I want to see one of
these rope wagons.
 
  Obviously the rope and wood needed would not
have stood the test of time. But we do have
corroborating evidence that the ancients
must have used such a machine.

  You ‛re standing on it. The fact that they built roads that could carry
this weight also confirms their use of the wheel. If there were no
wheels, then why would they build such magnificent highways ?
