Many groups are afraid of this Church because of its rapid growth. There are approximately 200 new wards or congregations being organized each year, which creates the need for the Church to build many facilities to accommodate them ( more than one chapel every two days ).
The opposition multiplies whenever this Church builds a Temple. Despite the opposition, Temples are being built all over the world, to make them more accessible for the members in all countries. By the end of the year 2004, 120 temples were completed with additional temples being constructed each
year to make their blessings available to members in all parts of the world.

Each circle represents a temple or one currently under construction.

These are special buildings wherein sacred and important ordinances are performed, both for the living and for their ancestors who have passed on who did not have the opportunity to participate in them. For example: baptism, priesthood, endowments, and sealings of husband and wife, including sealing the children to their parents for Time and All Eternity.
