“ I understand that members of your church are a very tight knit isolationist group, keeping to themselves and consider the rest of the people as outsiders.”

“ In fact, there is a common perception that Latter-day saints feel and act as if they are better than anyone else. This could be fuel for big time persecution and rejection of them as a normal part of the community.”   There may be a few members that behave thusly, but those are not the teachings or sentiments of the authorities of the Church.

To the contrary, the members are taught that “ Everyone is a Son or Daughter of Heavenly Father, ” and that we are all here in mortality for the very same reasons and purpose in preparation for rewards, or lack thereof ( punishment is a loss of blessings ), in the life to come. ( Acts 17:28-29 ; 1 Pet 4:5-6 ; Alma 1:26 )
  We all want eternal
happiness, rewards, and peace
after this life. We ‛re all in the
same boat no matter what our earthly
station and we all have potential
value.
